“Creating a musical is a fun, challenging, tired, yet ultimately a rewarding experiencing of teamwork and innovation,” said Mrs. Noah. “Don’t miss being a part of theatrical history at Bear River High School.”
Disney’s High School Musical is a modern twist on Romeo and Juliet. It’s a story about two high school juniors from opposing cliques – Troy Bolton is the captain of the popular Wildcat basketball team, and Gabriella Montez is the shy transfer student who excels in math and science. After a rhythmic run-in at a ski lodge during winter break brings them close, they later end up trying out for the lead parts in their high school musical, and as a result, cause a massive uproar throughout the school. Despite the efforts of drama club diva Sharpay Evans and others who will do anything to sabotage the relationship between Troy and Gabriella, they overcome everything and convince people not to “stick to the status quo.”
