A long-awaited sidewalk has finally been added to Magnolia Road, bringing greater safety to the community. With churches, schools and neighborhoods nearby, the new addition is expected to make a significant difference for families and children.
Community member Robb Tucker expressed his excitement, saying, “I’m so excited to see kids walking down this sidewalk!”
The project was originally planned for 2016–2018 but stalled due to lack of funding. Thanks to renewed support and financial backing, it has now been completed. Organizers extended their gratitude to the dedicated workers who brought the project to life, as well as CAL Fire for allowing use of their yard during construction.
Bear River High School Principal Chris Roberts shared a personal reflection.
“My kids have always asked, ‘Hey Dad, can I walk to CVS? Can I walk to Starbucks?’ I always had to say no because it wasn’t safe,” he said. “I’m so happy that next time I can say yes, thanks to this brand- new addition to our community.”
The new sidewalk represents more than just concrete—it’s a step toward safer, stronger connections within the Magnolia Road community.
