Join the Bear River Travel Club as they explore Athens, Santorini, and Agios Nikolaos. This trip will be educational due to the aspects of Greek culture and more.
This is a trip filled with exploration and curiosity due to traveling from big moments to small adventures along the way. You will get a chance to explore the wonders of Greece. This trip won’t be until summer of 2027 so Bruins will have to be very patient and make sure they prepare if they are going. It will be very pricey but students will have the chance to earn scholarships for up to $1,000.
“It’s kind of a once in a lifetime opportunity to go see these places for the price that they offer,” said junior Jaylen Hale. Hale was part of the BRTC’s previous trip this last summer to Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris. She’ll also be attending the Greece trip.
On the nine-day trip there will be sightseeing and personal learning guidance. The trip will include six nights spent in a hotel, one internal flight within Greece, and one night on an overnight ferry. There will be breakfast and dinner daily, and students will have private bathrooms in the hotel. When students arrive in Greece they will be going to the Athens night ferry and the Spinalonga boat ride.
This trip will rely on students to get out of their comfort zone and to open their eyes for new experiences and to be curious about new adventures.
“It made me open honestly to try different types of food, and I just kind of opened my palate to new things,” said senior Margaret Ralston who was also on the first trip.
Her first day in Paris she went to a little restaurant in an alley way and there was a concert going on outside. Her boyfriend, Richie Boyk, got her a shirt from the concert.
This trip will be an opportunity to meet new people and to bring Bruins together. Learning opportunities will be involved in this trip to learn more about topics in history, and to get a perspective of other cultures. This trip will be worth the cost for going, and the experience will be unforgettable if you pay to go.
Make sure you get your passport stamped and meet your tour guide when you arrive in a city. Everything is taken care of so you can relax and enjoy your wonderful experience.
“It will be amazing to see different cultures and try different foods in Greece,” says leadership teacher and trip advisor Jessica Lee.
The trip was originally opened to 20 people, but has now been opened to 40 and almost sold out the first day. But it’s not too late to see about joining this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. See Lee for more information and to sign up for a spot.
