Despite the Varsity Volleyball team’s best efforts, Placer defeated the Bruins at Thursday night’s game with an ending score of 25-22.

Grace Sypnicki, a senior, talked about the long rivalry between the Bruins and the Placer Hillmen.

“There’s always been a feud between us and Placer and we really want to beat them,” Sypnicki said.

“We got our Dutch Bros to get pumped up for today, we want to kick butt!” said Kayla Toft, a junior. “We are gonna play as hard as we can, we want revenge.”

Desi Kreiter, a junior, talked about how she thinks the Varsity Volleyball team could’ve done better in the end.

“I tried my best to pump up the bench but we could have been louder when it got slow,” Kreiter said.

Sypnicki discussed why she think’s the Bruins lost the game.

“I don’t know, Placer fought really hard and won,” she said. “We fought but couldn’t come out on top.”

Kylee Dresbach-Hill, a junior, talked about the best part of the game.

“The highlight of the game was winning some of our matches,” said Dresbach-Hill.

Kaylee Bohrer, a junior, talked about some of her thoughts on how the game went.

“We poured our hearts into it,” she said. “The outcome of it is no measure of how well we played or how much we love the game.”

“(It was a) good match,” Coach Matt McDonald said. “They did awesome. Good momentum, good feeling, good game overall.”
