Last semester Bear River High School received a very unique new student.
Freshman Naut A. Cooper moved to BRHS halfway through the year and has been making waves in all kinds of social circles. Moving into groups and asking all about where to find “the good stuff,” but no one knows what exactly it is that he’s looking for.
One student, who preferred to remain anonymous, said “One day, he came up to me asking for the “good stuff,” and when I asked him what he meant, he didn’t answer. I dug through my backpack and found a bag of Goldfish. I showed it to him and he grabbed it, thanked me, and walked away.”
A few other students have become closer friends with Cooper.
One of them, Kyle Weedman, stated that, “He always went to students, usually shady ones, trying to act cool and knowledgeable on trends, yet failing to make any connections with them because of his motive seeming off.”
Students are suspecting the Good Stuff Kid might be law enforcement.
Another student, Fred Barker said “I was walking into the bathroom and saw him speaking into a device. When he saw me, he put it away immediately. When I asked him what he was doing, he responded in outdated slang from the 80’s, so I couldn’t really understand what he wanted from me.”
One last student that came forward with information about the new student.
“There was an assembly with a police officer about being cautious of what we put in our bodies, and the police officer looked really similar to the new kid. It just so happened that the new kid missed the assembly.”
Finally Assistant Principal Cathy Peterson commented on the situation.
“He’s a perfectly normal student, there’s nothing out of the ordinary with him! He gets perfect grades and has no infractions! Stop asking questions about him or you’ll all be getting detention.”
